GORST PLANNED ACTION EIS | AFFECTED ENVIRONMENT, SIGNIFICANT IMPACTS, AND MITIGATION MEASURES<strong>Impact</strong>sThe impact discussion evaluates the amount and intensity of development under each of the alternatives, withspecific focus on potential changes in land use patterns and compatibility with adjacent land uses. Thedetermination of impacts to land use patterns was made based on a comparison of current and proposed land usedesignations under each of the alternatives and a comparison of the scale and intensity of current developmentwith that of development likely to occur under each alternative.IMPACTS COMMON TO ALL ALTERNATIVESWatershedOutside the <strong>Gorst</strong> UGA, no changes to land use designations or zoning are proposed for the <strong>Gorst</strong> Creek watershedunder any of the alternatives. The area is anticipated to add homes in the Rural Residential and Urban Reservedesignations as they are in place today. Within SKIA principally, more jobs are anticipated based on current plans.Because the City of Bremerton and Kitsap County plans and zones would be retained, including zoning anddevelopment standards addressing site design, landscaping, and other appropriate standards, no adverse impactsare anticipated with respect to land use patterns or compatibility.<strong>Gorst</strong> UGAUnder all alternatives, additional growth is anticipated in the <strong>Gorst</strong> UGA.
