GORST PLANNED ACTION EIS | ALTERNATIVES<strong>Gorst</strong> UGA Land UseThe <strong>Gorst</strong> UGA contains about 335 gross acres including streets and public rights of way, or about 281 acres inparcels. Each alternative proposes an urban land use pattern with variable amounts of commercial and residentialuses (see Table 2-2 Land Use Acres Comparison (Total Parcel Acres by Zone). Alternative 1 focuses on commercial,mineral, and industrial uses (combined 87 percent) and less on residential uses (13 percent). Alternative 2 providesa nearly balanced amount of residential (49 percent) and commercial (46 percent) acres with recognition of KitsapCounty-purchased property for open space (6 percent).
