Visit our website forfurther updates on this exciting change and application information:www.MacEwan.ca/Holisticinstitutional graduation regulationsMacEwan University has institutional graduation regulationsfor Ministry approved programs.Institutional regulations are those that each studentmust fulfil in order to be eligible to receive a MacEwanUniversity credential.Details are available in the university’s Graduation PolicyC2100 and other relevant policies as noted below.<strong>Academic</strong> Residency – A student must complete atleast 50 per cent of courses through MacEwan University.Challenge examinations, transfer credit and other specialassessments (for example, prior learning and recognition) arenot included in the 50 per cent (C1015 <strong>Academic</strong> Residency).<strong>Academic</strong> Standing – A student must obtain a minimum2.00 <strong>Academic</strong> Standing GPA to be considered in GoodStanding (C2070 <strong>Academic</strong> Standing).Attendance – A student must comply with any courseor program attendance and punctuality requirements asnoted on course outlines or in program handbooks (C2050Attendance). In addition, sponsored students may havespecial attendance requirements.Graduation Grade Point Average – A minimumGraduation Grade Point Average (GGPA) of 2.00 on the 4.00scale is required.Minimum Course Grade – Some programs may requirethe achievement of a specific grade in a course for graduationpurposes.
