Strictly speaking, not one of theso-called research hypotheses complies with the requirements which areset for the formulation of research hypotheses: no clear relationshipsbetween the variables are specified. Also pay attention to the fact that twoof the paragraphs begin with the word “that”: is the relationship betweenthe two paragraphs clear and why does the third paragraph begin with theword “to”?(iv) Do you find it acceptable that the person who drew up this researchproposal provides more detail under the heading Data collectionprocedures and what the extent of the literature survey will be than, forexample, under the heading Research design?(v) If you were obliged to decide about the allocation of the funds for such anapplicant, would you be prepared to support his application for an amountof, say, R15 000?185
