By year 8 it would equate to an additional 81,000visitors each year.In 2012 dollar terms, total tourism expenditure on the <strong>Island</strong> corresponding with this higherlevel of visitation would be approximately $180m, an additional $57m per annum over theestimate for 2011/12, which is equivalent to an average rate of growth in expenditure of 4.9per cent per annum.According to SATC, this latent demand for tourism on <strong>Kangaroo</strong> <strong>Island</strong> is consistent with ananalysis of Uluru as a benchmark for <strong>Kangaroo</strong> <strong>Island</strong>.
