Office of <strong>the</strong> Vice President for Enrollment Services: Mr. Rick Lowe,<strong>the</strong> Vice-President for Enrollment Services, is <strong>the</strong> chief administrativeofficer of <strong>the</strong> <strong>University</strong> in charge of student enrollment services. Hehas responsibility for all of <strong>the</strong> recruiting, admission, and financial aidservices on and off campus.Office of <strong>the</strong> Direc<strong>to</strong>r of Athletics: Mr. Bob McEvoy, <strong>the</strong> Direc<strong>to</strong>rof Athletics, is <strong>the</strong> chief administrative officer for <strong>the</strong> <strong>University</strong> andis responsible for <strong>the</strong> oversight of our nineteen intercollegiate sportsprograms. He has <strong>the</strong> responsibility <strong>to</strong> enforce <strong>University</strong>, USA SouthConference and NCAA regulations. He is responsible for <strong>the</strong> oversigh<strong>to</strong>f student/athlete welfare and <strong>the</strong> responsibility <strong>to</strong> facilitate an effectiverelationship with <strong>the</strong> academic units of <strong>the</strong> <strong>University</strong> <strong>to</strong> ensure an athleticprogram with strong academic integrity.Office of <strong>the</strong> Vice President for <strong>University</strong> Relations and CampusMinistry: The Rev. Dr. Mike Safley. The Vice President for <strong>University</strong>Relations and Campus Ministry is responsible for creating a cohesive,mutually beneficial bond between <strong>Methodist</strong> <strong>University</strong> and its constituenciesand providing <strong>the</strong> general public and media with accurateinformation concerning <strong>the</strong> <strong>University</strong>. As <strong>the</strong> Campus Chaplain, he isresponsible for <strong>the</strong> spiritual formation and development of staff andstudents. He seeks <strong>to</strong> promote awareness that everyone is welcome <strong>to</strong>participate in Campus Ministry for worship, fellowship, study, support,pursuit of justice, and service <strong>to</strong> our neighbor.Office of <strong>the</strong> Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of <strong>the</strong><strong>University</strong>: Dr. Delmas Crisp. The Vice President for Academic Affairsand Dean of <strong>the</strong> <strong>University</strong> is <strong>the</strong> chief academic officer of <strong>the</strong> <strong>University</strong>.He has responsibility for all of its academic operations, including <strong>the</strong>faculty, <strong>the</strong> Office of <strong>the</strong> Registrar, grants, Monarch Press, and <strong>the</strong>Evening <strong>University</strong>.FINANCIAL AID SERVICESThe Office of Financial Aid is located in Joe S<strong>to</strong>ut Hall and is open for operation Monday through Fridayfrom 8:00a.m. - 5:00p.m.All students who would like <strong>to</strong> be considered for financial aid MUST be enrolled and charged as full time Dayper semester (at least 12 semester hours), and must complete <strong>the</strong> Free Application for Federal <strong>Student</strong> Aid(FAFSA) every academic year. The federal government strongly encourages <strong>the</strong> completion of <strong>the</strong> FAFSAonline at www.fafsa.gov. The paper FAFSA can be requested by calling 1-800-433-3243. To ensure MAXIMUMconsideration for ALL types of financial assistance, <strong>the</strong> student must be in <strong>the</strong> process of receiving his/her firstbachelor’s degree, enrolled in and charged as a full-time Day student, making satisfac<strong>to</strong>ry academic progress(SAP) and have a demonstrated financial need (financial need is defined as <strong>the</strong> difference between <strong>the</strong> resourcesof <strong>the</strong> student and/or parent(s)/adoptive parent(s) and <strong>the</strong> cost of attending <strong>Methodist</strong> <strong>University</strong>). It is stronglyrecommended that students apply for financial aid as soon as <strong>the</strong> Federal income taxes are completed in <strong>the</strong>spring for <strong>the</strong> following fall and spring semesters. Financial aid is awarded on a first-come first-served basis.<strong>Methodist</strong> <strong>University</strong> offers a variety of institutional, federal, and state financial assistance. The awarding offinancial aid can be merit based (academic or performance), or financial need and academic based. <strong>Student</strong>smay contact <strong>the</strong> Office of Financial Aid or can refer <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> Financial Aid Section of <strong>the</strong> Academic Catalogue forinformation regarding specific awarding policies and scholarship/loan guidelines.
