impact they have on the energetic, environmental and economic performance <strong>of</strong> theresidentially modelled micro-trigeneration system. Based on the informationobtained from the simulations performed, the effect <strong>of</strong> the different operatingconditions on the modelled micro-trigeneration system can be assessed, with thescope <strong>of</strong> better understanding the interaction between the system and the surroundingenvironment.Apart from the technical operating conditions which were discussed at length inChapter 2 and Chapter 3 (e.g. reduced electrical demand due to the use <strong>of</strong> highefficiency appliance, reduced thermal due to high efficiency building fabric etc.), thischapter also introduces a number <strong>of</strong> other factors which have the potential <strong>of</strong>influencing micro-trigeneration system performance. These include indirect technicalfactors such as grid network improvements and decarbonisation. Finally, theeconomic factors which affect the financial viability and the financial metrics bywhich viability could be assessed <strong>of</strong> micro-trigeneration were discussed.160
