The dies were evidently not ready, andthe Treaty of Troyes was signedon the 21st of the samemonth, necessitating a change in the King's titles.There is no record of the dies being subsequently sent.The same ordinance also providesfor the issue ofdeniers blancs d'argent, called gros, to be current for20 deniers tournois and to be struck at the rate of 7 sols2^ deniers (86pieces) to the mark (weight 47'1 grains).This is a slight reduction in weight from the previousissue. The ordinance further provides for the issue ofdemi-gros, current for 10 deniers tournois and at therate of 14 sols 4J deniers (172J pieces) to the mark(weight 23*5 grains).
