Henry IIhad struck coins as Duke <strong>of</strong> Aquitaine <strong>and</strong> Earl <strong>of</strong> Poitou ;Edward III, although he claimed <strong>the</strong> throne <strong>of</strong> France,struck coins as Duke <strong>of</strong> Aquitaine only, <strong>and</strong> similarlyHenry V struck coins as Duke <strong>of</strong> Norm<strong>and</strong>y but Henry VIwas de facto King <strong>of</strong> France <strong>and</strong> struck coins as such from<strong>the</strong> French Regal Mints. <strong>The</strong> coins struck at <strong>the</strong> Dijonmint were issued by <strong>the</strong> Duke <strong>of</strong> Burgundy from dies preparedlocally. <strong>The</strong> coins <strong>of</strong> Henry VI consist <strong>of</strong> a Salute<strong>and</strong> Angelot in gold, a gr<strong>and</strong> blanc <strong>and</strong> petit blanc in silver,a tresin, denier tournois, denier parisis, <strong>and</strong> maille tournoisin billon.MAY 18, 1912.SIR HENRY H.HOWORTH, K.C.I.E., F.R.S., F.S.A., President,in <strong>the</strong> Chair.<strong>The</strong> minutes <strong>of</strong> last meeting were read <strong>and</strong> approved.<strong>The</strong> following Presents received since last meeting wereannounced, <strong>and</strong> thanks were ordered to be sent to <strong>the</strong> donors.1.
