The issue was to be made without delay.On June 22, 1435, Charles VII issued an order 23 thatthe blancs bearing the arms of France and England,theretofore current for 8 deniers parisis, should be currentfor 6 deniers parisis.The Manuscrit Frangais 5524 states 24 that on July 21,1435, were struck by order of the king, angelots currentfor 32 sols 6 deniers tournois, at the rate of 48 to themark, giving a weight of 84'66 grains.It illustrates thecoin (Fig. 9), which it will be noticed is of the same type asthe ordinary angelot, with the addition of the h below thecross on the reverse, and bears the mint-mark of Eouen.It seems doubtful whether this issue ever took place./'*FIG. 9.
