7. Međunarodni stručni skup, NA POSAO!Uloga pružatelja usluga u profesionalnoj rehabilitaciji i zapošljavanju osoba s invaliditetom – europska i hrvatska iskustvaIDA-Instrument Diagnostic Arbeit can be unofficially translated as « instrument of workingdiagnostics».Toolsarrangedinaplasticsuitcaseareusedtodiagnose,assessthekeycompetencesofperson.Idaisadiagnostic tool aligned with MELBA. Working with Ida is based on questions: What is the problem -evident from the data obtained by Melba, selection of tasks - we choose only those we need for a particularclient, the sequence of tests – we choose the most suitable ones for the client. We can plan the space and time of application of the instrument, we determine and document theresults and analyze them together with the client, we present the results obtained to the client and his/herfamily. Testing with the entire Ida tool takes 2 hours and 30 minutes on the average, but if it is possible, thetest should be completed in the shortest possible time. The content and materials in the suitcase are divided into tasks: Ablem, planning, responsibility, control of criticism, Recognition of incomplete pictures, abstract thinking, Shaping a wire, motor skills, critical thinking, care, time of designing, Drawing of the observed shapes, visual memory, shape, positionand colour, Matching the cards in a box, strategy, stamina, motor skills, concentration, self-criticismregarding the work, Textual work, literacy, concentration, Linear (a 50 cm ruler) speed of reaction, concentration, Luria, you read 10 words in 5 different sequences, with the same intensity, speed and toneof voice; auditory memory, Cork base, motor skills and persistence, 10 500 Berlin, phone book, literacyand resourcefulness, Pyramid, the pyramid stacking in space and time, persistence, motor skills,Mathematical tasks, mathematical literacy, knowledge, Stadplan, a city map, time organization, workplan, Tornillo, motor skills, problem solving, handling the tools.Given tasks can be adapted to the client's capabilities. During the training for examiners using thisinstrument, a participant tries to solve the mentioned tasks on the principle "try it on your skin".In addition to the tasks, Ida suitcase also contains the following items, kept in their sheets: templatesfor copying, evaluation forms and instructions, Ida characteristics, and a stopwatch. We do not have to doall tests or perform them in any specific order.Melba/Ida test procedure: first you do the Melba test, then Ida, then we compare Melba and Ida, copyMelbaintothetablebygroups,adiscussionandconclusion-whichareastofocuson?Thisisfollowedbyadiscussion with the client. Finally, you should transform the results into action, train some of person'scapabilities (if possible and feasible) or change working conditions, where the primary goal is employmentof person at an appropriate job in accordance with his/her abilities and interests. And instead of the conclusion ...By introducing new diagnostic instruments, the purpose of which is assessment of working abilities ofpersonswithdisabilitiesandjobevaluation, wegiveapersonanopportunitytochooseoccupationinaccordance with his/her abilities. This will make a person with disabilities more competitive in the labourmarket and improve one's quality of living. In addition, a sense of usefulness and satisfaction with one'sopportunities is very valuable for the person in question. We will get the satisfaction, as professionals, that we have done everything we could during theeducation of our students with disabilities and their employment, to allow them to work independentlyandtoliveagoodlifeintheworldofwork.Melba/Ida instrument came to Croatia through the back door, to the Centre for Education in Rijeka, but we hope it will find its place in the wider Croatian territory. We will start from the beginning, with the official translation of Melba into Croatian and a lecture ofexperts from the Institute of Siegen at a seminar for the acquisition of licenses in our city, Rijeka.132
