Purpose<br />

The DATEFORM command lets you define the form of the DATE data type specifications for<br />

the <strong>Teradata</strong> T<strong>Pump</strong> job.<br />

Description<br />

Keyword that specifies integer DATE data types for the <strong>Teradata</strong> T<strong>Pump</strong><br />

job<br />

This is the default <strong>Teradata</strong> DATE data type specification for <strong>Teradata</strong><br />

T<strong>Pump</strong> jobs if you do not enter a DATEFORM command.<br />

Keyword that specifies ANSI fixed-length CHAR(10) DATE data types for<br />

the <strong>Teradata</strong> T<strong>Pump</strong> job<br />

• The DATEFORM command must be entered before LOGON<br />

command.<br />

When the ANSIDATE specification is used, the ANSI/SQL DateTime data<br />

types must be converted to fixed-length CHAR data types when specifying<br />

the column/field names in the <strong>Teradata</strong> T<strong>Pump</strong> FIELD command.<br />

See the Usage Notes subsection of the FIELD command for a description<br />

of the fixed-length CHAR representations for each DATE, TIME,<br />

TIMESTAMP, and INTERVAL data type specification.<br />
