This example specifies only an input file. The <strong>Teradata</strong> T<strong>Pump</strong> script is in /home/tpuser/tests/<br />

test1 and the job output is written to stdout, which ordinarily would be the terminal.<br />

Normal Termination<br />

This section covers methods of termination and other topics related to terminating <strong>Teradata</strong><br />

T<strong>Pump</strong>.<br />

There are two ways to terminate <strong>Teradata</strong> T<strong>Pump</strong>:<br />

• Normal termination<br />

• Abort termination<br />

Use the <strong>Teradata</strong> T<strong>Pump</strong> LOGOFF command in the <strong>Teradata</strong> T<strong>Pump</strong> job script to terminate<br />

the utility normally on both network- and channel-attached client systems:<br />

<strong>Teradata</strong> T<strong>Pump</strong> logs off all sessions with <strong>Teradata</strong> <strong>Data</strong>base and returns a status message<br />

indicating:<br />

• The total processor time that was used<br />

• The job start and stop date/time<br />

• The highest return code that was encountered:<br />

• 0 if the job completed normally<br />
