TRAINING<br />

The long-term truining specialist should have at least five<br />
years experience in using various communications/media modes<br />
and methous in training extension agents, farmer, leaders and<br />
other trainers, etc. It would preferable for this specialist<br />
to have previous Thai experience. This person will be expected<br />
to accomplish the following.<br />
I. Aovise the general program of training required in the<br />
Project Paper for project staff members, extension agents,<br />
farmers, community leaders, and trainers.<br />
2. Provide technical assistance in the use of various<br />
media modes for the auove mentioned groups.<br />
3. Assist in the preparation of training materials.<br />
4. Assist other specialist in training matters.<br />
AGRICULTURALIST<br />
The long-term agriculturalist shuuld have at least five<br />
years experience in crop production and soils research and<br />
extension. This person should be interested in and how<br />
knowledge of the biology of the farming system. Some<br />
inter,ational experience is strongly preferred. This<br />
agriculturalist will be expected to accomplish the following:<br />
1. To advise RTG concerning the general biological<br />
component of the technical assistance program.<br />
2. Assist and coordinate in the Uevelopment of a cropping<br />
systems applied research methodology which would include but<br />
not be limited to;<br />
a. analysis of current<br />
farming system practices;<br />
D. identify and analyze specific research needs for<br />
crop, livestock, forestry, and fisheries<br />
development;<br />
c.<br />
identify and analyze specific research needs of<br />
the integration of the above mentioned into<br />
cropping and farming systems.
