This is one of the southern tier of provinces of the<br />

Northeast, located in Agro-Economic Zone 4. Rainfall data<br />

from Surin Province, the closest weather station to Si Sa<br />

Ket is stown in Figure 17i<br />

Tamoons Tae and Taket<br />

These ate two small contiguous tambons, located in the<br />

same di .rict, near to the provincial capit-l. They are<br />

both vrL-ually 100% paddy fields (Figures 18 and 19) and<br />

have rather similar characteristics. Non-glutinous rice<br />

production is dominant, using relatively high levels of<br />

cash inputs, especially fertilizer. Although virtually no<br />

cassava oz kenaf is grown and livestock production is<br />
