Indirect risks may present due to findings during <strong>the</strong> examination visit and <strong>the</strong> biosample<br />

analyses that deserve fur<strong>the</strong>r medical examination. In <strong>the</strong> case <strong>of</strong> an incidental finding,<br />

participants will be informed and advised to contact a physician, if <strong>the</strong>y consented to be<br />

informed. The strategy for how participants will be informed about incidental findings is described<br />

in detail below, in <strong>the</strong> section “Feedback <strong>of</strong> incidental findings”.<br />

Finally, a minimal risk is associated with <strong>the</strong> use <strong>of</strong> personal information, but greatest care<br />

will be taken to maintain data protection and confidentiality as described below.<br />

A.7.1.5 Expense allowance<br />

Participants will receive a small expense allowance, including travel costs. This aims to<br />

streng<strong>the</strong>n <strong>the</strong> idea <strong>of</strong> donating important information and material for research on <strong>the</strong> prevention<br />

and treatment <strong>of</strong> serious disease. Samples and data should be seen as public goods.<br />

A.7.1.6 Participant insurance<br />

Due to <strong>the</strong> minimal risk <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> study, general participation insurance will not be required. For<br />

any damage, <strong>the</strong> public liability insurance <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> study centers will be liable. For <strong>the</strong> partici-<br />
