PURPOSE: This register is used <strong>for</strong> military applications involving DF=19.<br />

Its purpose is to provide data in support of military applications.<br />

‘TYPE CODE’ shall be encoded as follows:<br />

0 = UnassignedReserved<br />

1 = <strong>Mode</strong> code in<strong>for</strong>mation<br />

2-31 = UnassignedReserved<br />

1) The character field shall be used to indicate whether 2 characters or 4<br />

characters are used in the <strong>Mode</strong> 1 code. The logic shall be as follows:<br />

0 = 2 octal codes<br />

(A1 — A4 <strong>and</strong> B1 — B4)<br />

1 = 4 octal codes<br />

(A1 — A4, B1 — B4, C1 — C4 <strong>and</strong> D1 — D4)<br />

2) The status fields shall be used to indicate whether the data are available or<br />

unavailable. The logic shall be as follows:<br />

0 = Unavailable<br />

1 = Available<br />

DF = 19 Application Field (AF) shall be encoded as follows:<br />

0 = Reserved <strong>for</strong> civil extended squitter <strong>for</strong>mats<br />

1 = Reserved <strong>for</strong> <strong>for</strong>mation flight<br />

2 = Reserved <strong>for</strong> military applications<br />

3–7 = Reserved<br />
