said Pane -- " Set fire to him and burn him."<br />

head. "It is to be observed," says <strong>the</strong> chronicler,<br />

"that as he was at <strong>the</strong> stake, <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> midst <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />
