d) Flammable substances<br />

4.2 Create an Earthquake Response Plan which includes:<br />

a) Assembly point<br />

b) Roll call method<br />

Note - An effective roll call should include who was known to be in attendance prior<br />

to an earthquake.<br />

c) Contact information for staff/members, including their emergency contacts<br />

d) Contact information of insurance providers<br />

e) Alternative arrangements if you are unable to access your premises, files, etc.<br />

4.3 Ensure all members and staff are aware and have access to the Earthquake Response<br />

Plan.<br />

4.4 Conduct an annual earthquake drill with members/staff.<br />

4.5 Consult with members/staff about the risks they think are most relevant to SLS<br />

operations.<br />

4.6 Keep a record of annual earthquake drills, record any learnings from the drills and<br />

implement into your response plan.<br />

During an earthquake<br />

4.7 Drop to the ground, find cover under a desk/table, and hold until the shaking stops.<br />

After an earthquake<br />

4.8 Check yourself for injuries and get first aid if necessary.<br />

4.9 Evacuate to the designated assembly point if it is safe to do so.<br />

4.10 Conduct a role call to account for who is present and who is missing.<br />

4.11 Refer to Earthquake Response Plan.<br />
