1.0 PURPOSE<br />
Identify the vehicle items that require inspection prior to use to ensure that it is safe for SLS<br />
operations.<br />
2.0 SCOPE<br />
A vehicle inspection is to be completed before use of the vehicle.<br />
3.0 REQUIREMENTS<br />

4.0 INTRODUCTION<br />
Only those members with the correct licence, training and competency are permitted to use<br />
vehicles during SLS operations. Refer to the Vehicle Registration, Licensing and WoF Policy<br />
V2-2020.<br />
5.0 PROCEDURES<br />
5.1 Complete Vehicle Safety Inspection Log (below).<br />
5.2 Advise the Patrol Captain or another designated person of any faults and/or safety<br />
issues.<br />
5.3 If unsafe to use, place a DO NOT USE tag on the steering wheel.<br />
