Vehicle Pre-use Inspection - NSOP Section 4 – Vehicle Operations Version Number: 1.0 Effective Date: 1 October 2021 Review Date: 30 April 2023 Document Owner: <strong>National</strong> Lifesaving Manager 1.0 PURPOSE Identify the vehicle items that require inspection prior to use to ensure that it is safe for SLS operations. 2.0 SCOPE A vehicle inspection is to be completed before use of the vehicle. 3.0 REQUIREMENTS Required PPE Refer to Policy for beach vehicles Awards/Licenses Refer to Policy for beach vehicles Training Refer to Policy for beach vehicles Other N/A Equipment N/A 4.0 INTRODUCTION Only those members with the correct licence, training and competency are permitted to use vehicles during SLS operations. Refer to the Vehicle Registration, Licensing and WoF Policy V2-2020. 5.0 PROCEDURES 5.1 Complete Vehicle Safety Inspection Log (below). 5.2 Advise the Patrol Captain or another designated person of any faults and/or safety issues. 5.3 If unsafe to use, place a DO NOT USE tag on the steering wheel.
