Furthermore, Marino is a classicexample
of a suburban neighborhoodbasedonamoderndayurbandevelopmentplan.
This cluster along with Yuzny
Incidentally, withregard
to the infrastructure, Marino isprobably
the best cluster in Moscow.
a Hymn to Modernity
reputation, remoteness and a badecologicalenvironment.Andit’sallthesecharacteristicsthatmakeuptheprofileoftheneighborhood’sresidents.Theyarepeople
for housing and former residentsfrom
old so-called five-story buildings,and
also people that purchased largeapartments
in exchange for smaller onesinthecitycenter.Agoodportionoftheneighborhood’s
residents purchasedapartments
at a higher price than
Moscow’s average and demonstrates a
rather high level of income of its newpopulation.
The cluster is Moscow’s 8th largestin
true. The housing developmentbegan
in the 1970s. The average year ofconstructionwas1994.Theprincipalkindof
neighborhood can be divided into threesub-clusters:oldMarino–NovocherkasskyBlvd.toLiublinskayUlitsa;newMarino–the
neighborhood from Liublinskaya
Ulitsa to Verkhnie Polia Ulitsa and theneighborhood
The cluster has its own socialinfrastructure.Constructionwasconductedon
a block by block basis and each blockhas
Notwithstanding its remoteness, the
Marino cluster is not as isolated as, forinstance,
Novogireevo. On the northernside
it’s connected to the neighboringarea
by various parallel streets. Itsaccessibilitybycarfromthecenterisnot
