DEVELOPER AND DEVELOPMENT. 139<br />
acquired, as there is no possibil<strong>it</strong>y of forming a<br />
system of posing su<strong>it</strong>ed <strong>to</strong> all figures <strong>and</strong> faces.<br />
Common sense will suggest <strong>to</strong> the opera<strong>to</strong>r <strong>to</strong><br />
<strong>make</strong> the most of the good points, <strong>and</strong> <strong>to</strong> hide<br />
or subdue, as much as possible, the bad ones.<br />
If the subject has a fine figure, place in such a<br />
pos<strong>it</strong>ion as <strong>to</strong> s<strong>how</strong> <strong>it</strong> <strong>to</strong> advantage.<br />
In the conj pos<strong>it</strong>ion of a group place those who<br />
are good looking in the most conspicuous pos<strong>it</strong>ion,<br />
or where they will be in the line of the focus<br />
the ill-favored ones will always be best su<strong>it</strong>ed if<br />

e<strong>it</strong>her in-doors or w<strong>it</strong>hout, attention must be<br />
given not <strong>to</strong> overload the picture wMth a great<br />
quant<strong>it</strong>y of furn<strong>it</strong>ure of fanciful articles, nor <strong>to</strong><br />
dispose those which are used in such a manner as<br />
