Avoirdupois Weight.<br />

1 pound = 16 ounces ; 1 ounce = 16 drachms ; 1 drachm<br />

= 27'343 grains. (1 ounce Avoirdupois = 437*5 grains.<br />

1 pound Avoirdupois = 7000 grains, or 1 pound Troy -|- 2i<br />

Troy ouncss -f 40 grains.)<br />

Imperial Measure.<br />
