Prisms, referred to on pages 157-160, are
now a regular article of commerce, and made
to fit any tube. They can be purchased through
any of the dealers, or direct from the pub-
lishers.
As to expense, the apparatus and materials
required in the making of ferrotypes have been
very considerably cheapened since the earlier
days, and the variety increased, according to
the scale on which the business is to be con-
ducted. For instance, the cost of lenses usu-
ally employed for the purpose is greatly re-
duced, and in less degree the cameras also.
