<strong>to</strong> find my highest hopes realized—I had secured<br />

a perfect reflec<strong>to</strong>r by which <strong>to</strong> produce Non-re-<br />

versed pos<strong>it</strong>ive pictures by the Collodion process.<br />

<strong>The</strong> two cuts herew<strong>it</strong>h given will convey a<br />

perfect idea of one ofmy methods of mounting<br />

Figure 1 s<strong>how</strong>s the prism in <strong>it</strong>s brass case as<br />

<strong>it</strong> rests upon the camera box. This particular<br />

reflec<strong>to</strong>r is of 4 inches diameter on the two<br />

faces of <strong>it</strong>s right angle ; the reflecting surface or<br />

back is 4x5^. It is mounted in a brass case<br />

made <strong>to</strong> sci-ew on the front of a |^-tube, the open-<br />

ings being made large enough <strong>to</strong> receive <strong>and</strong><br />

transm<strong>it</strong> all the light the 4 inch front will<br />

adm<strong>it</strong>.
