8. <strong>EVALUATION</strong>S, REVIEWS, SURVEY, SURVEILLANCE, OR<br />
SPECIAL STUDIES<br />
There are no major reviews, evaluations or surveys planned within World Vision <strong>India</strong> PR work<br />
plan, however there is an Operations Research Study planned in the work plan. The aim of the<br />
Operations Research Study is “Exploring Effective ACSM Strategies to help address Key<br />
Challenges to TB control in <strong>India</strong>.” The study is to test four different ACSM Strategies as<br />
described in diagram 5 using quasi experimental design in experimental and control districts. 4<br />
experimental and 4 control districts would be selected and each district would implement one<br />
strategy from the diagram below.<br />

The detailed Operations Research Study design is being submitted as separate enclosure as<br />
part of Annexure I. Key contents of the study design are being briefly discussed here. World<br />
Vision <strong>India</strong> has worked with Maharashtra Association for Anthropological Studies (MASS), one of<br />
the members of the NGO TB Consortium in developing this research design. World Vision <strong>India</strong><br />
would enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with MAAS to implement this research.<br />

Study Design: A quasi-experimental study design with a non-equivalent control group will be used<br />
to evaluate the effectiveness of ACSM strategies. The pre and post-design will be used for evaluating<br />
