FREQUENCY RANGE<br />

The Frequency Range menu is used for selecting the receiver’s active frequency<br />

band. The following figure illustrates the Frequency Range screen.<br />

Available frequency band options are:<br />

• L BAND – selects the frequency range 0.950000 - 2.150000 GHz<br />

• Ku BAND - selects the frequency range 3.200000 - 4.200000 GHz<br />

• C BAND - selects the frequency range 10.700000 - 12.750000 GHz<br />

FREQUENCY SCAN<br />

The Frequency Band Scan menu is used for mapping all the available<br />

transmission frequencies received by the antenna. The symbol rate during the<br />

scan is constant and must be set according to the satellite’s symbol rate. Upon<br />

locating a valid DVB stream, the <strong>IRD</strong>-<strong>2900</strong> logs the located frequency and<br />

service name and outputs the log through the RS232 port (terminal) or through<br />

Telnet. The following figure illustrates the Frequency Scan screen.<br />
