2.5.1.2. DC Power Supply<br />

DC power supply is an optional feature of the <strong>IRD</strong>-<strong>2900</strong>. If the unit is fitted with<br />

a -48V CD power supply, connect the external 48V DC source by performing the<br />

following (refer to Figure 2-11):<br />

1. Connect a (+) 48V DC source wire to the (+) contact on the power terminal<br />

board.<br />

2. Connect a (-) 48V DC source wire to the (-) contact on the power terminal<br />

board.<br />

3. Connect Grounding point wire to the (GND) contact on the power terminal<br />

board.<br />

When the <strong>IRD</strong> is rack-mounted, the jackscrew (see Figure 2-11) must be<br />

connected to the rack housing, which in turn should be properly grounded.<br />
