z In 1970 the Children Ward was reconstructed<br />

as the Paediatric Orthopaedic<br />

z In 1991 the Paediatric Orthopaedic<br />

Department moved to a new Children<br />

Hospital in Chodzki Street 2.<br />

z The Head of the Adult Department<br />

in Lublin were successively: Prof. S.<br />

Piątkowski (died 1988), Prof. J. Kozak<br />

(died), Prof. K. Modrzewski and now<br />

Prof. T. Mazurkiewicz. The head of the<br />

Paediatric Orthopaedic Department<br />

were Prof. I. Wośko (died 1995), Prof. T.<br />

Karski and now Prof. G. Kandzierski and<br />

other part of Paediatric Orthopaedic<br />

Department – Prof. A. Gregosiewicz.<br />

z Prof. Tomasz Karski retired from<br />

Medical University in October 2009<br />

and now he works in the Orthopaedic<br />

Department of Military Hospital.<br />

z In Military Hospital the heads of the<br />

Orthopaedic Department were: Dr<br />

med. H. Jabłoński (died), next Dr<br />

Jan Stachurski, Dr Antoni Widawski,<br />

Dr Mieczysław Bryk and presently Dr<br />

Zbigniew Kędzierski, and Dr Adam<br />

Bartoszczyk (all active soldiers) became<br />

the chief of the Sub-Department in<br />

April <strong>2012</strong>.<br />

Nosology and Classification of Genetic<br />

Skeletal Disorders: 2010 Revision (Warman<br />

et al. 2011) is the 8 th version of classification<br />

of skeletal disorders, syndromes and<br />

metabolic diseases.<br />

History<br />

In the 1960’s, accumulating evidence<br />

that genetic skeletal disorders were clinically<br />

and genetically heterogeneous <strong>pro</strong>mpted<br />

a group of international experts to prepare<br />

a document to reach an agreement on the<br />

nomenclature of what was then called<br />

“Constitutional (or Intrinsic) Disorders of<br />
