Lodge, may command the Wardens of that Lodge, or any<br />

other Master Masons, to act there as his Wardens p<strong>ro</strong> tern.—<br />

(0. R. Art. 1.)<br />

That is, only when the Grand Wardens are absent; for<br />

the Grand Master cannot deprive them of their off<st<strong>ro</strong>ng>ice</st<strong>ro</strong>ng> with­<br />

out shewing cause, fairly appearing to the Grand Lodge.—<br />

So that if they are present, in a particular Lodge with the<br />

Grand Master, they must act as Wardens there.—(JV*. R.<br />

Art. 1.)<br />

ART. 7. The Grand Master should not receive any pri­<br />

vate intimations of business concerning Masons and Masonry,<br />

but f<strong>ro</strong>m his Deputy first; except in such cases as his worship<br />

can easily judge of: And if the application to the Grand<br />

Master be irregular, his worship can order the Grand Wardens<br />

or any other so applying, to wait upon the Deputy, who is<br />

immediately to prepare the business, and to lay it orderly<br />

before his worship.—( 0. R. Art. 16.)<br />

OF THE DEPUTY <st<strong>ro</strong>ng>GRAND</st<strong>ro</strong>ng> MASTER.<br />

ART. 1. He that is chosen Deputy at the Annual Feast,<br />

find also the Grand Wardens, cannot be discharged, unless<br />

the cause fairly appear to the Grand Lodge: for the Grand<br />

Master, if he is uneasy, may call a Grand Lodge, on purpose<br />

15 lay the cause before them, for their adv<st<strong>ro</strong>ng>ice</st<strong>ro</strong>ng> and concurrence.<br />

And if the members of the Grand Lodge cannot reconcile<br />

t ie Grand Master with his Deputy or Wardens, they are to<br />

i How the Grand Master to discharge his Deputy or Wardens,<br />

s nd to choose another Deputy immediately ; and the same<br />

(fraud Lodge, in that case, shall forthwith choose other Grand<br />

Wardens, that so harmony and peace may be preserved.— j<br />

Should this case ever happen, the Grand Master appoints j<br />

ART. 2. If the Deputy be sick, or necessarily absent, the
