This was intended for the ease of the Grand Master, and<br />

for the honor of the Deputy.<br />

In which case, or in case of any difference of sentiment<br />

between the Deputy and Grand Wardens, or other B<strong>ro</strong>thers,<br />

both parties are to go to the Grand Master by consent; who,<br />

by virtue of his great authority and power, can easily decide<br />

he cont<strong>ro</strong>versy, and make up the difference.—(JV. R. Art.<br />

ART. 3. The Grand Wardens shall have the care of<br />

preparing tickets, sealed, with the Grand Master's Seal of<br />

off<st<strong>ro</strong>ng>ice</st<strong>ro</strong>ng>, of disposing the tickets, of buying the materials of the<br />

Feast, of finding out a p<strong>ro</strong>per and convenient place to feast<br />

in, and of every other thing that concerns the entertainment.<br />

Assisted by a certain number of Stewards at every Feast,<br />

The Grand Wardens and Stewards shall, in due time, wait<br />

upon the Grand Master or Deputy, for directions and orders<br />

about the premises; but if both their Worships are sick, or<br />

necessarily absent, they may call together the Masters and<br />

Wardens of Ledges, on purpose for their adv<st<strong>ro</strong>ng>ice</st<strong>ro</strong>ng> and orders;<br />

0 • else they may take the whole affair upon themselves, and<br />

This, having been found too fatiguing and expensive to<br />

il e Grand Off<st<strong>ro</strong>ng>ice</st<strong>ro</strong>ng>rs, the Grand Lodge has left the care and<br />

c nduct of the Grand Feast to the Stewards, who, now, by<br />

1 e Request of the Grand Lodge, take the whole affair upon<br />

I imselves, and do the best they can.<br />

Nor are their accounts now audited by the Grand Lodge,<br />
