with the Masters and Wardens in private before dinner to<br />

continue for the year ensuing, then one of the Grand Lodge,<br />

deputed for that purpose, shall represent to all the brethren<br />

his Worship's good government, &c, and turning to him,<br />

shall in the name of the Grand Lodge, humbly request him<br />

to do the Fraternity the great honor (if nobly born, if not)<br />

the great kindness of continuing to be their Grand Master<br />

for the year ensuing; and his Worship declaring his consent<br />

by a bow or a speech, as he pleases, the said deputed member<br />

of the Grand Lodge shall p<strong>ro</strong>claim him aloud<br />

<st<strong>ro</strong>ng>GRAND</st<strong>ro</strong>ng> MASTER OF MASONS !<br />

All the members of the Grand Lodge shall salute him in<br />

due form; and all the brethren shall,for a few minutes,have<br />

leave to declare their satisfaction, pleasure and congratula-<br />

tioa.—(Old Reg. Art. 32. See Grand Master. Art. 1,2.)<br />

ART. 11. But if either the Masters and Wardens have<br />

not in private this day before dinner, nor the day before, de­<br />

sired the last Grand Master to continue in his Mastership<br />

another year ; or if he, when desired, has not consented, then<br />

the present Grand Master shall nominate his successor.—<br />

ART. 12. The Grand Master, or Deputy, or some other<br />

appointed by him, shall harangue all the Brethren and give<br />

them good adv<st<strong>ro</strong>ng>ice</st<strong>ro</strong>ng>. And lastly,<br />

After some other transactions, that cannot be written in any<br />

language, the Brethren may stay longer, or go away, as they<br />

please, when the Lodge is closed in good time.—( Old Reg.<br />

Art. 33.)<br />

After the oration, the five public healths may be toasted ;<br />

and before or after each, a Masons song, with the best in­<br />

struments of music.
