time of his signing the same, be a member of some regular<br />

Lodge, and the name of such his Lodge be always specified.<br />

ART. 30. At the Grand Lodge on June 18, 1752, Carys-<br />

fort Grand Master, it was ordered, That the sum of three<br />

Guineas be paid to the Grand Secretary, at every Communi­<br />

cation and Annual Assembly, for his own incidental charges,<br />

and that of an Assistant Secretary, out of the Public Fund-<br />

Ordered, That any foreign B<strong>ro</strong>ther, after due examination,<br />

shall be relieved by this Committee, with any sum not ex­<br />

ceeding five Pounds, any law to the contrary notwithstanding-<br />

ART. 31. At the Grand Lodge held on Nov. 29, 1754,<br />

Carnarvan Grand Master, it was resolved, and ordered to be<br />

entered as a standing regulation of this Society, that if any<br />

Mason shall without special l<st<strong>ro</strong>ng>ice</st<strong>ro</strong>ng>nse of the Grand Master, or<br />

his Deputy for the time being, attend as a Mason, clothed<br />

in any of the jewels or clothing of the Craft, at any funeral<br />

or funeral p<strong>ro</strong>cession, he shall not only be for ever incapable<br />

of being an off<st<strong>ro</strong>ng>ice</st<strong>ro</strong>ng>r of a Lodge, but even of Tyhng, or attend­<br />

ing on a Lodge, or of partaking of the General Charity, if<br />

he shall come to want it.<br />

ART. 32. It was then also ordained, That if any Mason<br />

shall attend, tyle, or assist as Tyler, at any meetings or pre­<br />

tended Lodges of persons calling themselves Masons ; not<br />

being a regular constituted Lodge, acknowledging the au­<br />

thority of our Right Worshipful Grand Master, and con­<br />

forming to the laws of the Grand Lodge, he shall be for<br />

ever incapable of being a Tyler, or attendant on a Lodge, or<br />

partaking of the General Charity.<br />

ART. 33. At the Grand Lodge, on July 24, 1755, Car­<br />

narvan Grand Master, it was ordered, That for the future,<br />

every certificate granted to a B<strong>ro</strong>ther of his being a Mason,<br />

shall be sealed with the seal of Masonry and signed by the<br />

Grand Secretary ; for which five Shillings shall be paid to
