Tell the parents that next week they will receive the
Family-Time poster for the fourth season. As before,
the Family-Time poster is for parents or guardians
to help their boy and family learn the lessons of Cub
Scouting. The activities are educational, and in most
cases fun too. Each week of the Soccer and Scouting
season there are activities in the Family Time Booklet
for your boy and you to do together. By this time in the
Soccer and Scouting program, the boys should have
earned their rank badge. If their boy has not earned it,
parents and their boy could meet with their boy’s den
leader to see what meetings were missed
and thereby what requirements need to be
completed for him to get his badge.
Have everyone form a large circle, the boys
giving the Cub Scout sign, and the boys
recite the Cub Scout Promise, the Law of
the Pack, and the Cub Scout Motto.
Cub Scout Promise
I, [your name], promise to do my best
To do my duty to God and my country,
To help other people, and
To obey the Law of the Pack.
Law of the Pack
The Cub Scout follows Akela.
The Cub Scout helps the pack go.
The pack helps the Cub Scout grow.
The Cub Scout gives goodwill.
Do Your Best.
recent outdoor experience, including what happened
at the campfire, and about outdoor cooking with
which they have helped. If any of them have ever been
camping, ask them to tell about it. Once they are finished,
have had.
(Den: 30 minutes)
Key Coaching Point—During your game, encourage
