Purpose<br />
To develop control in a game situation<br />
Organization<br />
Set out a 40-by-40-yard area into four 10-by-10-yard squares. Station 10 attackers and 2 defenders in one 10-by-<br />
10-yard square. One ball per practice.<br />
Game Objective<br />
Attacking players combine to keep possession <strong>of</strong> the ball. Defenders attempt to intercept the ball. Attacking players<br />
move into the adjacent square when they complete five consecutive passes without defenders touching the ball.<br />
The game ends when the attacking team has completed five consecutive passes in all four 10-by-10-yard areas. Repeat<br />
and then rotate positions.<br />
Progressions<br />
1. Increase the number <strong>of</strong> defenders.<br />
2. Increase the number <strong>of</strong> areas.<br />
Key Coaching Points<br />
1. First touch out <strong>of</strong> feet and in the intended direction <strong>of</strong> play.<br />
2. Look up and around you to locate defenders and fellow teammates.<br />
3. Call for the ball.<br />
4. Name the person to whom you are passing.<br />
5. Use fakes to create deception.<br />
