Pass and Go<br />
Purpose<br />
To develop disguise and movement in passing<br />
Organization<br />
Set out a 10-by-10-yard area. Groups <strong>of</strong> 3. Station each player in the middle <strong>of</strong> a different line on the outside <strong>of</strong> the<br />
area. One ball per practice. Repeat in three other areas for a total <strong>of</strong> 12 players.<br />
Game Objective<br />
The player with the ball passes the ball to 1 <strong>of</strong> the 2 other outside players and runs to the free side <strong>of</strong> the area. The<br />
receiving player controls the ball and passes the ball to 1 <strong>of</strong> the 2 other outside players and runs to the free side <strong>of</strong><br />
the area. Repeat.<br />
Progressions<br />
1. First time passing.<br />
2. Use fakes to create deception.<br />
3. Increase the size <strong>of</strong> the area.<br />
4. Introduce a defender to the middle <strong>of</strong> the area.<br />
Key Coaching Points<br />
1. First touch out <strong>of</strong> feet and in the intended direction <strong>of</strong> the pass.<br />
2. Focus on the accuracy <strong>of</strong> the pass by following through at the intended target.<br />
3. Accelerate across the area with speed.<br />
4. Use the step over or fake pass move to create deception.<br />
