Saturday Game-Day Session
Things to take: Pencil and paper for each boy
Opening Ceremony
(Pack: 5 minutes)
Have the boys form a circle, give the Cub Scout sign,
and recite the Law of the Pack. Then have the dens
take turns yelling their den yells.
Law of the Pack
The Cub Scout follows Akela.
The Cub Scout helps the pack go.
The pack helps the Cub Scout grow.
The Cub Scout gives goodwill.
Soccer Skills Clinic
(Den: 25 minutes)
Play Combination Shooting or Control, Turn, and
Shoot. (See the appendix.)
Scouting Activity
(Den: 25 minutes)
Map Game
Divide the den into two teams and give each team a
pencil and some paper. Ask each team to draw a map
showing the location of some relatively small object
they know to be within 200 feet of where they currently
are. The teams exchange their maps and study
them. Then, under the supervision of the adult leader,
the teams go out and try to find the object on the
other team’s map.

Core Values Reflection and
Closing Ceremony
(Pack: 10 minutes)
Ask the boys to yell out the 12 Core Values they have
learned through the four seasons, until you have heard
all 12 of them.
