Saturday Game-Day Session<br />

Things to take: Pencil and paper for each boy<br />

Opening Ceremony<br />

(Pack: 5 minutes)<br />

Have the boys form a circle, give the Cub Scout sign,<br />

and recite the Law <strong>of</strong> the Pack. Then have the dens<br />

take turns yelling their den yells.<br />

Law <strong>of</strong> the Pack<br />

The Cub Scout follows Akela.<br />

The Cub Scout helps the pack go.<br />

The pack helps the Cub Scout grow.<br />

The Cub Scout gives goodwill.<br />

Soccer Skills Clinic<br />

(Den: 25 minutes)<br />

Play Combination Shooting or Control, Turn, and<br />

Shoot. (See the appendix.)<br />

Scouting Activity<br />

(Den: 25 minutes)<br />

Map Game<br />

Divide the den into two teams and give each team a<br />

pencil and some paper. Ask each team to draw a map<br />

showing the location <strong>of</strong> some relatively small object<br />

they know to be within 200 feet <strong>of</strong> where they currently<br />

are. The teams exchange their maps and study<br />

them. Then, under the supervision <strong>of</strong> the adult leader,<br />

the teams go out and try to find the object on the<br />

other team’s map.<br />

Closing Ceremony<br />

(Pack: 10 minutes)<br />

Ask the boys to yell out the 12 Core Values they have<br />

learned through the four seasons, until you have heard<br />

all 12 <strong>of</strong> them.<br />
