Opening Ceremony
(Pack: 5 minutes)
Have everyone present
form a big circle. Have
two boys hold the
U.S. flag, and the
other Cub Scouts
give the Cub Scout
salute. Lead everyone in
the Pledge of Allegiance.
Pledge of Allegiance
I pledge allegiance to the flag

Soccer Skills Clinic
(Den: 25 minutes)
Play 1 vs. 1 Loop Soccer or 6 vs. 6 Loop Soccer. (See
the appendix.)
Scouting Activity
(Den: 25 minutes)
squares—four strings laid one way, and four the others,
to form nine squares. Boys are either Xs or Os as
they are placed in the squares.
Scrimmage Games
(Den: 30 minutes)
Key Coaching Point—During your game, encourage
goalkeepers to catch or tip the ball over the bar in
pressure situations around goal.
Core Values Reflection and
Closing Ceremony
(Pack: 10 minutes)
Tell the boys about the Core Value, Courage, which
means being brave and doing what is right regardless
of our fears, the difficulties, or the consequences. Stir
up a conversation with participation from boys, parents,
and siblings, of examples of courage, especially as
seen in soccer.
Have the boys, parents, and siblings form a circle, and
the Cub Scouts give the Cub Scout sign and say the
Law of the Pack.

The Cub Scout follows Akela.
The Cub Scout helps the pack go.
The pack helps the Cub Scout grow.
The Cub Scout gives goodwill.

Choose one boy as the spokesperson. The den plays
