PATRICIA
me permitan expresar mi arte.”
parar”, dice.
“I’m always looking to find new materials that allow me to express
my art.”
Patricia Salaverría’s sculptures are a re-reading and an investigation
of femininity. The female body and its mythological and historical
representations have been transformed by the artist in wood, clay,
resin, bronze, and iron; until they find their own corporeality, their
identity.
Daughter of sculptor Enrique Salaverria, she has been dedicated
to sculpture since she was very little: “Ever since I made my first
sculpture I have not been able to stop,” she says.
