David JacquesBorn in 1978 in Saint-Georges de Beauce, Quebec,David Jacques holds a Doctorate of Music in periodperformance from the University of Montreal. He alsohas a Master’s in Performance from Laval University, aFirst Prize in guitar and a Bachelor’s in Music Teachingfrom Laval University. Since 2002, he has played withmany early music ensembles, such as Anonymus,Caprice, Bande Montréal Baroque, Les Voix humaines,Stadacone and the Theatre of Early Music. He has published manyarrangements for guitar for Les Productions d’OZ and recorded morethan 16 CDs. He has given classical concerts in the USA, France, Poland,Austria, Bosnia, Croatia, Mexico, Chile, Vietnam, Brazil, Argentina,India, Nepal, Taiwan, Pakistan, Indonesia, New Zealand, Australia andCanada.Jupiter String QuartetFormed in 2001, the Jupiter String Quartet is aparticularly intimate group, consisting of violinistsNelson Lee and Megan Freivogel, violist Liz Freivogel(older sister of Meg), and cellist Daniel McDonough(husband of Meg). The Quartet finished up theirschooling together at the New England Conservatoryof Music, where they were in the Professional StringQuartet Training Program. They currently reside inBoston, Massachusetts. The Quartet has been fortunate to receiveseveral recent chamber music honours, including first prize in the BanffInternational String Quartet Competition, grand prize in the FischoffNational Chamber Music Competition, membership in Lincoln Center’sChamber Music Society Two, and Chamber Music America’s ClevelandQuartet Award. The Quartet also won the 2005 Young Concert ArtistsInternational auditions and now holds YCA’s Helen F. WhitakerChamber Music Chair. Most recently, they were honoured to receive anAvery Fisher Career Grant.Arminè KassabianCanadian-Armenian mezzo-soprano Arminè Kassabianattended elementary and secondary school in theOttawa region. She received a master’s degree in vocalinterpretation and a bachelor’s degree in vocal from theUniversité McGill. She is presently studying withThérèse Sevadjian and coaching with Olivier Godin.Arminè Kassabian has had the privilege of working withEdith Bers, Aline Kutan, François Le Roux, Dixie RossNeill, Denise Massée, David Gately, Maria Pellegrini, David Schuts,Alain Nonat, Michael McMahon, Hank Knox, Dorel Munteanu, JulianWachner, Patrick Hansen and Cristian Mihailescu. She is the first prizewinner of the 2008 Canadian National Music Festival. This pastOctober, Arminè Kassabian performed at the International Women’sForum Hall of Fame Awards. Arminè Kassabian was also invited toperform with the Jeune Ambassadeur lyrique Italian Gala. Il esten effet formé de Megan Freivogel (violoniste), de sonconjoint Daniel McDonough (violoncelliste), de sa sœuraînée Liz Freivogel (altiste) et de l’ami de la famille NelsonLee (violoniste). Ces musiciens se sont côtoyés auNew England Conservatory of Music où ils étaient inscritsdans un programme de formation professionnellepour quatuors à cordes. L’ensemble s’est vu décerner denombreuses récompenses en musique de chambre : un premier prix lorsdu Concours international pour quatuor à cordes de Banff, le grand prixdu Concours national de musique de chambre Fischoff, l’intégrationau sein de la Société de musique de chambre du LincolnCenter « Two » et le prestigieux Cleveland Quartet Award décerné parChamber Music America. De plus, le quatuor a reçu en 2005 le prix desYoung Concert Artists International Auditions et est aujourd’hui titulairede la chaire Helen F. Whitaker de musique de chambre au YoungConcert Artist. L’ensemble recevait en 2010 la prestigieuse bourse professionnelleAvery Fisher.mezzo-sopranoCanadienne d’origine arménienne, Arminè Kassabian afréquenté les écoles primaires et secondaires de la région.Elle a reçu sa formation de mezzo-soprano à l’UniversitéMcGill, où elle a obtenu une maîtrise et unDiplôme d’Artiste en interprétation vocale. Elle étudieactuellement avec Thérèse Sevadjian et reçoit de l’encadrementd’Olivier Godin. Elle a eu le plaisir de travailleravec Edith Bers, Aline Kutan, François Le Roux, DixieRoss Neill, Denise Massée, David Gately, Maria Pellegrini, David Schuts,Alain Nonat, Michael McMahon, Hank Knox, Dorel Munteanu, JulianWachner, Patrick Hansen et Cristian Mihailescu. En 2008, elle a remportéle premier prix au Festival national de musique du Canada. L’automnedernier, elle a chanté lors de la cérémonie de remise des prix auForum international des femmes. Arminè Kassabian a aussi été invitéeà chanter au Gala italien avec les Jeunes Ambassadeurs Lyriques.
