Trevor PinnockTrevor Pinnock is known worldwide as a harpsichordistand conductor who pioneered performance onhistorical instruments with his own orchestra, TheEnglish Concert, which he founded in 1972 and led forthe next thirty years. He now divides his time betweenconducting, solo, chamber music and educationalprojects. As a conductor, Trevor Pinnock begins theseason on tour with the Chamber Orchestra of Europeand conducts the Salzburg Mozarteum Orchester, and LeipzigGewandhausorchester with whom he will be joined by Maria João Piresto record Beethoven Piano Concertos for Deutsche Grammophon.Future engagements include return visits to the Chicago SymphonyOrchestra, concerts and recording with Emmanuel Pahud and theKammerakademie Potsdam and Don Giovanni at Houston Opera. Hisrecording of Bach Flute Sonatas with flautist Emmanuel Pahud andcellist Jonathan Manson was released by EMI in October 2008 and wonan Echo Klassik award. In educational initiatives Trevor Pinnockcontinues his work with the Royal Academy of Music, London and theUniversity Mozarteum Salzburg.Denis Plante, bandoneónDenis Plante plays one of the famous double A seriesbandoneón. His unusual career as a performer andcomposer makes him the bandoneón artist in Canadaand an exceptional figure in contemporary tango on theworld scene. Denis Plante is frequently invited toperform as a soloist with symphony orchestras orchamber-music ensembles. A spiritual son of AstorPiazzolla, he has enriched the bandoneón repertoirewith dozens of works capturing the essential pulse of the tango. He hasrecorded four CDs of his own compositions, and collaborated onrecordings by ensembles such as Tango Boréal, Quartango, andBataclan.harpsichord and conductor /clavecin et chefClaveciniste et chef renommé, Trevor Pinnock est aussiun pionnier de l’interprétation renouvelée sur instrumentsmontés à l’ancienne.
