Symétrie et Asymétrie
Il y a quelques semaines seulement, Lydia Stadler a présenté à la
galerie Métanoïa de Paris une série sur le thème très graphique de
la symétrie.
Ainsi, l’artiste a réutilisé d’anciens clichés pour leur donner une
nouvelle vie matérielle, travaillant toujours à la manière de collages
qui, s’ils paraissent d’abord abstraits, laissent finalement apparaître
des objets et personnages qui nous sont familiers.

Symmetry and Asymmetry
For a few weeks only, Lydia Stadler presented at the Métanoïa
gallery in Paris a series on the very graphic theme of symmetry.
So, the artist reused former clichés to give them a new material life,
always working in the style of collages which, if they seem at first
abstract, finally let appear objects and characters who are familiar
to us.
With this series, the photographer knew how to create a game
of harmony between space and object, between immaterial and
