MAGIC DRAWINGS
Capacità di un artista il quale, nella fermezza di un silenzio
in positivo, fa emergere tutta l’esplicazione del dipinto,
stimolando i tempi ed evocando trascorsi momenti.
Nel programma estetico di Fabrizio Costanzo, vi sono
una miriade di figure incastrate con inventiva immaginifica
che caratterizza il momento magico del Medioevo nella
sutura del classico con il moderno. Gioco di matita nel
disegno ed espansione del pastello con predilezione dei
verdi, dei gialli e delle terre per le sagome in volumi armoniosi.
Gli oli, nel connubio di uccelli e pesci che si
legano alla idolatrata luna, esaltano la resa pittorica. Una
scatola di simboli che, sparsi nello spazio, danno risalto
alla forza propulsiva e si impegnano e si impennano verso
l’alto in sottesi significati. L’ambientazione è una scena
in versione favolistica di una realtà aspaziale e atemporale
nel ripetuto borgo, ordito di messaggi nascosti nel
chiuso di tanti alveari, con l’essenzialità del sesso nella
libertà dei soggetti descritti. Ricorrente è la notazione
poetica che emerge per addolcire la meccanicità connessa
all’apparato di case ed alberi nell’inquadratura tra
terra e cielo.
Le opere di Costanzo sono il miracolo di un collettivo
immaginato e ridotto nella sintesi di una cultura ingabbiata
nell’ordine delle cose, tali da sembrare merletto ingegnoso
di fine architettura.

the surface, stimulating time and recalling moments of the
past.
In the aesthetic program of Fabrizio Costanzo there are
thousands of figures stucked with imaginative inventiveness
that characterises the magical moment of the Middle
Age in the suture of classic and modern. A pencil game in
the drawing and an expansion of pastels with a predilection
for greens, yellows and umber for the profiles in harmonious
volumes. The oil paintings, in the mixing of birds
and fish that join the idolised moon, exalt the pictoral result.
A box of symbols that, scattered in space, give emphasis
to the propulsive force and point upward in underlying
meanings. The setting is a fairy-tale scene of a space
less reality in the recurrent village, full of hidden messages
in the close of many bee-hives, with the essential
of sex in the freedom of the described subjects. There is
a recurrent poetic note that emerges to soften the mechanical
aspect linked to the apparatus of houses and trees
in the setting between earth and sky.
Costanzo’s works are the miracle of a collective imagined
and reduced in the synthesis of a culture enclosed in the
order of things such as to seem an ingenious lace of fine
architecture.
