Bu çalı#mada ilk olarak,Genç-Sen’i bir sendikal hak mücadelesi örne!i olarak ele alıp kurulu# sürecinde roloynayan aktörleri ve demokratik, e#it, parasız, bilimsel, anadilde e!itim hakkı ba!-lamında taleplerin nasıl olu#turuldu!unu inceliyorum. "kinci olarak, Genç-Sen’i 1980sonrası Türkiye’sinde eski ve yeni toplumsal muhalefet aktörlerinin bulu#masıyla kurulmu#bir ö!renci sendikası olarak ele alıyor ve temel insan hakları olan sendikal haklarve e!itim hakkı ihlallerine kar#ı mücadeledeki yerini anlamaya çalı#ıyorum.A!ırlıkla, Genç-Sen’in eylemlerinin seyri ve sendikanın iç sorunları, kar#ıla#tı!ı hukukive siyasi engeller ve yüksekö!retim sistemindeki hak ihlalleri üzerinde duruyorum.Ö!renci sendikasını bir örgütlenme modeli olarak kavrayabilmek amacıyla Fransa’dakiö!renci sendikacılı!ın örne!ine ba#vuruyorum. $ubat ve Mart 2011’de "stanbul’daD"SK içindeki çe#itli yetkililer ve Genç-Sen’li ö!rencilerle yaptı!ım derinlemesine görü#melerve gözlemler ile toplumsal hareket ve örgütlenme teorileri, Genç-Sen ve ö!-renci sendikacılı!ının gelece!ini tartı#tı!ım bu çalı#manın ampirik ve kuramsal temeliniolu#turmaktadır.Anahtar Kelimeler: ö!renci sendikacılı!ı, toplumsal hareketler, Genç-Sen, Devrimci"#çi Sendikaları Konfederasyonu, sendikal haklar, e!itim hakkı.Abstract: Confederation of Progressive Trade Unions of Turkey (D"SK), which hadbeen in a reconstruction process since the 1990s, initiated the foundation of a students’union, and in 2007 Genç-Sen, the first students’ union in Turkey, was founded.The first part of this article, by taking Genç-Sen as a case of the struggle for the unionrights, aims to analyze the actors in its foundation and how its demands have beenformulated in the context of the right of democratic, equal, free, scientific educationin mother tongue. In the second part, by taking Genç-Sen as the meeting of old andnew social protest actors, I am trying to understand its place in the struggle against theviolation of educational and union rights which are considered as fundamental humanrights. Mainly, I focused on the course of its activities and actions, its internalproblems, the legal and political obstacles it encountered, and the violations of rightsin the higher education system. In order to comprehend the student’s union as a modelof organization, I refer to the students’ unions in France as a comparative case. Theobservations and the interviews with the experts in D"SK and the member students ofGenç-Sen that we conducted in February and March 2011 in Istanbul, and the theoriesof social movements and organizations constituted the basis of this study that discussesthe future of Genç-Sen and the students’ unionism.Keywords: students’ unionism, social movements, Genç-Sen, Confederation of ProgressiveTrade Unions, trade union rights, right to education.219
