In the presented article the authorpresents factors of competitiveness of destinations and subsequently basing on a preparedcompetitiveness model, presents results of conducted research pertaining to theinfluence of particular areas of the destination product for touristic demand. The gatheredmaterial allowed the verification of the hypothesis of significance of secondarydemand resulting from recommendations of other people. At the same time howeverdoubts remain concerning natural resources and national heritage as key factors creatingprimary demand and issues of relatively greater influence of secondary demand createdby firms by such factors as: accommodation and gastronomic infrastructure or transport.Translated by Maciej Dębski
