ÖZET
Kırgız Türkleri, Türk Dünyası coğrafyasında sözlü edebiyatı mütekamil derecesine
erişmiş Türk boylarındandır. Bu nitelikleri sayesinde Kırgızlar, Manas gibi dünyanın en
edebi ve en hacimli destanına sahip olmuşlardır. Kırgız Türklerinin millî destanı olan
Manas Destanı, İslâmiyet’i yaymak için mücadele eden ünlü Kırgız kahramanı Manas’ın
şahsı etrafında, Mani dinini yaşayan Karahitaylar ile Müslüman Karahanlılar arasındaki
mücadelede Kırgızların İslam’la şereflenmesini anlatmaktadır.

THE LONGEST EPOPE IN THE WORLD: MANAS
ABSTRACT
Kirghiz Turks are one of the Turkish tribes who have the most mature oral literature is
like on top of reaching peak point in literature.Owing to these qualifications they have
had the most profoundly and literary epic its name is Manas.Manas Epic is the national
epic of Kirghiz Turks, its protogonist who is name is Manas which is similar the name of
epic. Manas invidual world is the source of the epope. Manas wants to spread around
Islam and he tackles with enemies for this aim. In context also Karakhitay Tribe who
believes in Manicheism and Muslim Kirghiz Tribe struggle with theirselves.Thus
Kirghiz Turks was honored by Islam.
