Welcome Inhalt<br />
THE LIE is a Dutch film that reveals the background to a complex political<br />
scandal involving several resignations in our neighbouring country. The<br />
film UNDER CONTROL shows us the fragility of the technology and the organisational<br />
structures within German nuclear power stations. These and<br />
other films in our programme reflect issues that have concerned us all<br />
deeply over the past few months.<br />
The classic documentary film finds itself in upheaval. How does<br />
the genre move forward when it is caught between the growing number of<br />
television talk shows and so-called reality formats on the one hand and<br />
online, interactive, cross-media projects on the other? Furthermore, should<br />
the documentary film also be responding to cinema’s current 3-D wave?<br />
These and other issues will be at the heart of the very first <strong>DOK</strong>.<strong>forum</strong>, our<br />
new media and industry platform. You are formally invited to participate in<br />
the discussion.<br />
I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank all our patrons,<br />
