Console SNMP Text-based Config
PVC number pvcEntry, pvcIndex [pvc#]
Enter the number of the PVC you want to configure on the console command line. For
SNMP, select the pvcEntry table and look under the pvcIndex for the desired PVC.
Once you select a PVC, the PVC number is displayed thereafter at the beginning of each
line from the console.
Values: 1 - 300
Default: 1
Console SNMP Text-based Config
Mode atmpvcMode [atmpvc#] Mode
Selects the type of PVC to be used for this ATM logical connection.
• ATMPVCR: for PowerCell over ATM AAL5, an integrated traffic transport
method (see “PowerCell in the ATM Network” on page 1-16 for background
information)
• AAL1: for ATM AAL1, a voice traffic transport method supported on the NetPerformer
SDM-9360, SDM-9380 and SDM-9585 only (see “AAL1 Circuit Emulation
Services (CES)” on page 1-16)
• FRF.8: for FRF.8, a Service Interworking method ideal for Frame Relay traffic
(see “Frame Relay/ATM Service Interworking (FRF.8)” on page 1-18)
• RFC1483: for multiprotocol over ATM AAL5 using RFC-1483, a data traffic
transport method (see “LLC Encapsulation (RFC-1483)” on page 1-22)
• ATMPPP: for PPP over ATM AAL5 using RFC-2364, a data traffic transport
method ideal for Internet access (see “PPP Over AAL5” on page 1-23)
• ATM-MULTIPLEX: for multiplexing ATM traffic over PowerCell links (see
“ATM Multiplex Connections” on page 1-24). This mode is ideal for transporting
traffic from any ATM Adaptation Layer. It is also the only PVC mode that can
support AAL2 and AAL3/4 traffic.
NOTE: The other values listed are for non-ATM applications.
