The OCOG-80 worked out and, in<br />

the order established with the IFs and<br />

the IOC, coordinated 52 titles of official<br />

documentation and reference and<br />

official publications in three languages—<br />

French, English, and Russian.<br />

These publications included: the<br />

technical regulations for 21 sports, a<br />

brochure on "IOC Medical Controls",<br />

"Racing Instructions for the Yachting"<br />

and "Instructions on Measuring<br />

Yachts". Referee events documenta-<br />

tion was drawn up in all sports, and<br />

505 different application forms for<br />

taking part in the Games as well as<br />

"Instructions on Filling In Entries". A<br />

number of other brochures, programmes<br />

and posters concerning sports<br />

programmes were also published.<br />

The public commission of the Organising<br />

Committee, in organising the<br />

events and sports and technical equipment,<br />

actively tackled all the questions<br />

arising from preparing for and staging<br />

the Games. This comprised representatives<br />

of the USSR sports federations<br />

and specialists from design organisations.
