The Druzhba Multipurpose Arena<br />

was put into service in the summer of<br />

1979 for the finals of the VII USSR<br />

Summer Spartakiade. Volleyball competitions<br />

were held there during the<br />

Olympic Games. It was built in the<br />

southeast of the Central Lenin<br />

Stadium and completed the architectural<br />

integrity of the entire complex.<br />

Luzhnetskaya Embankment and<br />

Luzhnetsky Lane lead directly to the<br />

Arena, connecting it with the city. A<br />

large plaza with a parking lot was laid<br />

out in front of the main entrance.<br />

There is the Lenin Hills Metro Station<br />

nearby and a landing stage for the<br />

Druzhba Multipurpose Arena<br />
